CURRENT OPENINGS
The Rock Golf Course is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Pro Shop Attendant to join our golf operations team. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing professional and friendly service to members and public players, managing tee times, assisting with retail sales, and ensuring smooth daily operations in the Pro Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to all guests, members, and tournament participants.
- Greet golfers, check them in for tee times, and manage transactions using the Tee-On POS system.
- Assist customers with golf merchandise sales including apparel, equipment, and accessories.
- Maintain attractive and organized merchandise displays; assist with restocking and inventory management.
- Answer phone calls, book tee times, and respond to guest inquiries in a professional manner.
- Communicate daily course conditions, rates, and promotions accurately to guests.
- Support outside operations (cart staging, range setup, etc.) when needed.
- Help coordinate tournament setup and scoring as directed by professional staff.
- Follow opening and closing procedures, ensuring cash handling accuracy and shop security.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and uphold The Rock’s service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail (golf industry experience an asset).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Tee-On point-of-sale systems preferred.
- Knowledge of golf products, rules, and etiquette an asset but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, June to September 2026
Salary: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

The Starter/Marshal plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily golf operations and maintaining an exceptional guest experience. This position oversees pace of play, enforces course policies, and provides friendly and professional assistance to all guests throughout their round.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet players warmly and provide information on course rules, pace of play, and daily conditions.
- Coordinate and manage starting times to ensure an orderly flow of play.
- Monitor pace of play throughout the course and address any delays tactfully and professionally.
- Provide assistance to golfers as needed (directions, course information, minor first aid, etc.).
- Maintain communication with the Pro Shop regarding tee times, weather conditions, and course flow.
- Inspect course areas during rounds and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Support the Pro Shop team as needed to enhance guest satisfaction and overall operations.
- Support Golf Services team as needed with staging, washing and parking carts.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and pace of play expectations.
- Ability to work independently and handle situations with diplomacy.
- Previous experience in golf operations or customer service is an asset.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license required.

We are looking for individuals to join our team. If you’re eager to learn, enjoying being outside and have no problem with early mornings, we want to hear from you. The Rock Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf course that has been artfully sculpted on the shores Lake Rosseau. Utilizing the site’s dynamic topography, the 6649-yard course is carved tight with narrow tree-lined fairways and sloping greens that wind through rock outcroppings.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for chemical applications on all golf course areas using fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and other plant health products.
- Accountable for safe application of all chemicals, following specific label rates and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Responsible for calibration and operation of all application equipment.
- Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas.
- Organize record keeping of chemical usage and inventory.
- Implements IPM program to determine thresholds for disease treatment and pest treatment of the golf course .
- Operation of equipment such as utility tractors, hand operated equipment and mechanically pressurized equipment.
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required.
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports directly to Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years golf course spraying experience
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
- Valid Ontario Landscape exterminator license
- Valid IPM agent or willingness to obtain during or prior to start of the golf season
- Knowledge of pesticide chemistry and effectiveness
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Preferred candidate will have previous experience with golf course maintenance software and Microsoft office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be punctual for early morning start times
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform in a fast paced, physically demanding environment
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time Contract May-October 2025
Salary: $18.00-$26.00 per hour

- Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and roughs
- Bunker maintenance-raking, repair and mowing
- Topdressing fine turf surfaces and divot repair
- Aerifying and other procedures that improve turf health
- Projects such as sodding, drainage and other course improvements
- Assist with tree and garden maintenance
Qualifications:
- Must be punctual for early morning start times
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform in a fast paced, physically demanding environment
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must work well in team oriented environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Prior grounds maintenance experience an asset
- Valid drivers license
- Safety boots required

Housing is available approximately 1 km from worksite. Includes bedroom, bathroom and shared kitchen facilities in cottage or hotel room. We charge $35 per week, payable by payroll deduction. You are required to provide your own linens, cooking utensils, tv and internet.
